PURPOSE: To make a stop in a state of completion of ice making when a switch for the time when ice is not needed is pushed, to prevent ice from still sticking even when the ice making is to be restarted, and to prevent a disadvantage from occurring that dust or the like sticking to the inside of an ice making vessel is hard to remove at the time of the restarting of the ice making, in automatic ice making equipment which makes the ice automatically.

CONSTITUTION: An ice making stopping means 10, a temperature detecting means 2 and a timer 17 which makes a count in the case when the temperature detecting means 2 shows a low temperature during the stop of ice making are provided. When the ice making is stopped, the stop is made in a state of completion of the ice making, and when the ice making is reopened, an operation is executed, beginning with the operation of releasing the ice. Besides, it is judged at the time of the restarting of the ice making whether an advance is to be made to the ice releasing operation, on the basis of detection of the temperature detecting means 2.
