PURPOSE: To provide an automatic incoming call reply device attaining the initial purpose such as dialing without the reception of an incoming call by the operator when a telephone set registering automatic incoming call reply receives an incoming call and the operator hooks off the telephone set for the purpose other than the connection of the incoming call.

CONSTITUTION: In a private branch exchange to which plural multi-function telephone sets are connected and having an incoming call automatic reply device replying an incoming call to the multi-function telephone set 1 when an incoming call detection section 5 automatically detects the incoming call the section 5 starts a timer of an incoming call notice section 6 and informs the arrival of the incoming call, and after an incoming call automatic reply analysis section 7 detects hook-off of the telephone set 1, when the section 7 discriminates whether or not a prescribed time elapses in the timer from the arrival of the incoming call, the section 7 connects the telephone set 1 to the incoming call and when the operator hooks off the telephone set 1 within a prescribed time, the dialing is attained without receiving the arrival of the call.
