PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation of automatic repeat reproducing by executing tape running and rewind according to agreement between signals from a counter and signals stored in two memory circuits respectively.

CONSTITUTION: In case that, for example, the second and the third tunes out of tunes recorded on a tape are repeated, play button 7 is depressed between the first tune and the second tune while reproducing the tape. Then, a count signal of counter 4 is stored in memory circuit 5a. Next, rewind button 9 is depressed between the third tune and the fourth tune. Then, the count number of counter 4 is stored in memory circuit 5b. Meanwhile, rewind circuit 10 is operated by the operation of button 9. When count signals of counter 4 and circuit 5a agree with each other in coincidence detection circuit 6a by rewind, play driving circuit 8 is driven to set a play mode. When count signals of counter 4 and circuit 5b agree with each other in coincidence detection circuit 6b in the play mode, circuit 10 is operated to set a rewind mode.
