Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a tire bead by providing a drive torque detection sensor and a reciprocating movement detection sensor at the drive system of expansion rollers reciprocating in an inner arc shape along a rim. CONSTITUTION:A torque meter 16 is provided at a transmission shaft 8, and torque to be acted on when expansion rollers 6 conducting the work of rim assembly are driven, is detected in transmit-time. Also, a potentiometer 17 is fitted at a transmission shaft 9, and the turning angles of turning arms 5 during rim assembly work, that is to say, the positions of expansion rollers 6 are detected as turning angles. As a result, torque needed for driving expansion rollers 6 can be known in opposition to turning angles. Accordingly, as drive torque at a place where the damage of a bead is liable to occur, can be known at the time of rim assembly, assembling a rim can be done without causing damage.
