PURPOSE: To attain the automatic sound volume correction without a sense of disorder by taking plural conditions into account.
CONSTITUTION: Plural control rules required for applying fuzzy inference to a sound volume correction value based on band levels L, M, H and a volume level V are registered in advance in a sound volume correction value inference section 13. The sound volume correction value inference section 13 obtains the result of inference according to each control rule based on each of the band component levels L, M, H inputted from a filter circuit 12 and the volume level V inputted from an audio equipment 14, obtains a weight mean value being the result of inference as a sound volume correction value Z and inputs it to the audio equipment 14 to correct automatically the sound volume. Furthermore, since the degree of each control rule relating to the sound volume correction differs from each other, a coefficient in response to the degree is registered in advance, and the weight mean value resulting from multiplying the coefficient with the result of inference of the relevant control rule is used for the sound volume correction value.
