PURPOSE: To better the assorting and handling of a specimen coated with a large amount of blood by enabling the automatic feeding thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A cassette supply section 3 sends a plurality of cassettes 2 housing a plurarity of specimens 1 to one side placing them thereon. A cassette feeding section 4 receives one of the cassettes 2 from the supply section 3 and lowers it to allow the carry-in and out of the specimen 1. The specimen carry in/out section 5 pushes one specimen 1 from the rear of the cassette 2 at the feeding section 4 and sucks and shifts it to an automatic analysis position. After the analysis, the cassette is sucked again, transfered and returned to the original position to store. A cassette storage section 6 takes out the cassette 2 analyzed at the feeding section 4 to store in plurality. An automatic stage 7 provided on the side of a cell analyzer holds and shifts the specimen 1 to a microscope object lens for the analysis of cells by means of an automatic chuck 8.
