Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from its error operation and a transmission from damage, by selecting a combination of solenoid valves not possible to be simultaneously turned on and making a decision of the abnormal state when at least two of those valves are simultaneously turned on. CONSTITUTION:When an abnormal operation is caused in solenoid valves SOL2, SOL3, SOL5 (when simultaneously turned on at least two of them), a voltage in line L1 is increased and a certain level of voltage is output from a comparator 20. Accordingly a thyristor 23 is turned on to allow signal lines l2, l3, l5 of each solenoid valve drive command to be connected to the earth. In this way, output transistors Tr2, Tr3, Tr5 are all turned off, and the solenoid valves SOL2, SOL3, SOL5 are all deenergized to return an automatic transmission to its neutral position.
