Title:
AUTOMATIC VENDING SYSTEM WITHOUT TOKEN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001175770
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an automatic vending system without a token (token money) identifying a holder qualified to request a price itself from the purchaser or payment from the account.

An account holder is enabled to buy a merchandise and service without having cash, a card or a physical token having identification property. When the purchaser simply inputs the account number and the password on a keypad on an automatic vending machine or other sales stores, the device at a sales store transmits the account code and the password to a central server. The server decides whether the code inputted by the purchaser coincides with an identification code made to correspond to a valid account. The automatic vending system confirms that the price of desired merchandise or service does not surpass the available deposit balance of the purchaser account. When the deposit balance is appropriate, the merchandise or service is supplied to the purchaser at the sales store, and the server reduces the available deposit balance of the account.
