Abstract:
The deflector grill of a convection type gas heating appliance is made from steel strips (9) cut transversely from a large sheet (5) and bent to shape in a press (1). The bent strips (7) are fed into slots in supporting frames (10). These supporting frames (10) are fed with a step-wise motion past the press and when each frame has received its full complement of strips (7) it is gripped by an arm (32) which is swung about the pivot (33) by a hydraulic jack (34) so that the frame (10) is transferred to the conveyor (14) which takes it to the next work station.
