Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a device occupying space compact in a vertical direction by minimizing the height of a device when a brush is retracted, and to improve flexibility in disposing another washing apparatus in a frame, in an automobile wheel washing device.
SOLUTION: The automobile wheel washing device comprises a main link L journaled d by the frame 1 at a lower part, a sub link S journaled u to an upper part of the main link at an upper part thereof, a moving support element K journaled d' to a lower part of the sub link, a horizontal brush supporting shaft P supported by the moving support element and supporting a wheel washing brush B, a horizontal position holding means X holding the brush supporting shaft at a horizontal position regardless rocking positions of the main and sub links, an interlocking means I interlocking with rocking of the main link and rocking the sub link, a rocking driving means DL capable of driving the main and sub links to rock, and a rotation driving means DB capable of driving the wheel washing brush to rotate. The main link has a larger inter-shaft distance than that of the sub link.
