Abstract:

To provide a scanner device capable of reading a plurality of kinds of originals having different width without setting an original guide again.

A scanner device body 2 has a main paper feeding tray 3, and an auxiliary paper feeding tray 6 exclusive for an original having small diameter width is provided detachably in the scanner device body 2 at the upper portion of the main paper feeding tray 3. As a result, when a hard-to-read original having small diameter width, such as a business card and a card, is read by the main paper feeding tray 3 provided in the scanner device body 2, a normal original is placed on the main paper feeding tray 3 provided in the scanner device body 2, and the original having small diameter width is placed on an exclusive auxiliary paper feeding tray 6 formed to the width of the business card, the card, and the like, thus reading the original having small diameter width without setting the width of the main paper feeding tray 3 again.
