Title:
AV SYSTEM HAVING IEEE1394 BUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3695942
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output the images and/or voices for the channel that is selected by a user by preparing a means to demodulate the data streams which are isochronously transferred, deciding for each channel whether the data streams can be demodulated by the demodulation means and displaying this deciding result to the user.
SOLUTION: An AV receiver 11 is connected to the source devices 12a, 12b and 12n via an IEEE1394 bus 13. When a bus reset state occurs, the receiver 11 receives an isochronous resource channel N and decides whether the data on the channel N are received. Then the receiver 11 analyzes the header of a packet of the received data and decides whether the data stream can be demodulated by the demodulator of the receiver 11. If the data stream can be demodulated, the data stream is stored in a RAM and a demodulatable channel list is shown at a display part 19 of a handy remote controller 18.
