Title:
AXLE TYPE SUSPENSION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1035209
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To insure fatigue strength and deformation resistance even in the case of molding by casting.

An axle 20 is formed through sand mold casting by means of a sand core so as to obtain a hollow part 25 in the axial direction. In this case, the left edge (forward) part 21 and the lower (under) part 22 at the middle part of the axle 20, which are subjected to tensile stress, are formed thickly in wall thickness, while the right edge (afterward) part 23 and the upper edge (upper) part 24, which are subjected to compressive stress, are formed thinly. With this contrivance, the position of the centroid (G) of a sectional form at the middle part of the axle 20 becomes being situated on the forward (21) side and the lower part (22) side, which are subjected to tensile stress, thereby relieving the stress in the part that is subjected to tensile stress.
