To provide a back plate fixing method for chest furniture which may be easily carried out even by an amateur while the work requiring skill, such as diagonal nailing from the rear side is necessary and labor is needed when fixing the back plate of the chest furniture by inserting the back plate into the grooves inscribed on a bottom plate, side plate or top plate and a fixing member used for the same.

The fixing member P which is the fixing member P of a recessed shape in a cross sectional shape and is provided with reverse meshed projections for prohibiting a slip on the right and left longitudinal wall surfaces is inserted into a channel and the back plate C is inserted and fixed into the recess of the fixing member P. Then, if such fixing member P is used, there is no need for using fixing means requiring skill, such as nailing in a diagonal direction or screwing of wood screws into a diagonal direction, and therefore, even the amateur is able to easily fix the back plate to the bottom plate, side plate or top plate.
