To provide a backfill material for re-excavation, having the effects of enabling a buried object to be removed in a short time and being constructible without collapse and to provide a filling method using the same.

This backfill material for re-excavation contains cement, a cement quick-setting agent, and air bubbles and has a compressive strength of 0.05 to 2 N/mm2. The backfill material for re-excavation is obtained by feeding aerated mortar and the cement quick-setting agent separately, and mixing them. This method for packing the backfill material for re-excavation comprises removing a part of a buried object and packing therein the backfill material for re-excavation thereafter.
