Abstract:
To provide a back light device capable of holding a linear light source by a lamp spacer without lowering the brightness of light radiated from the linear light source soon after lighting.
A plurality of cylinder-shaped lamps 3 are arranged in a case 1. The light radiated from the cylinder-shaped lamps 3 and reflected by a reflection body arranged on an inner face of the case 1 is emitted from a transmissive diffusion plate 4 arranged at an opening of the case 1 in surface emission. The cylinder-shaped lamps 3 are held by lamp spacers 10 with a width of 0.1 mm or more and 2 mm or less.
