Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a baked pencil lead having a hardness and a writing feeling similar to those of conventional pencil lead and, nevertheless, exhibiting remarkably improved strength and extremely excellent balance between the strength and the density of the written mark.
CONSTITUTION: This baked pencil lead contains a spirally oriented extender material in the pencil lead texture in the axial direction or contains at least two kinds of spirally oriented extender materials in one pencil lead. This invention also relates to a process for the production of the pencil lead.
