Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the burden to a maintenance man by automatizing the maintenance work of an instance base accompanied with addition of new problem instances.
CONSTITUTION: A group of concrete instances corresponding to individual problem instances and one model instance which generalizes concrete instances are secured with respect to a group of problem instances which occur by the same cause in the past. Pairs of attributes and attribute values having value parts different by problem instances are registered in concrete instances. The cause and its countermeasure method common to problem instances and pairs of attributes and attribute values which are not registered in concrete instances are registered in the model instance. When the cause of a new problem is clarified to specify one applicable model instance, new concrete instances are secured, and pairs of attributes and attribute values which are not registered or have the same value part are additionally registered in the applicable model instance, and pairs of attributes and attribute values different by value parts are registered in respective concrete instances and are deleted from the applicable model instance.
