Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water processing device which can resolve clogging of a filter element.SOLUTION: In a ballast water processing device, a filter 2 which filters ballast water is disposed in a casing 1. The ballast water processing device includes a connection passage connecting an external part of the casing 1. An opening part 4a formed at a casing 1 interior side end part of the connection passage is located close to the filter 2 or contacts with the filter 2, and an area of the opening part 4a is configured to be smaller than a filter area of the filter 2. The ballast water processing device further includes: a chemical solution flow passage 51 which connects the connection passage with the other side of a primary side of the filter 2 or a secondary side of the filter 2 and allows the ballast water including a chemical solution for removing foreign objects to circulate therein; and control means which forms a chemical solution circulation passage 50 including the filter 2, the connection passage, and the chemical solution flow passage 51 and circulates the ballast water including the chemical solution by a pump 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
