Abstract:
To provide a balloon catheter which is smoothly put through into a biological organ and suppresses deformation of a distal end.
The balloon catheter 10 includes: an inner tube 24 being a guide wire tube for putting through a guide wire 20; a distal end chip 16 joined with the inner tube 24 and more extended to the distal end side beyond the distal end opening of the inner tube 24; and a balloon 14 joined with the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube 24 and also joined with a part of the distal end chip 16. A metallic wire 40 is wound around at least a partial outer periphery between the leading-edge of the distal end chip 16 and a joint part A positioned on the distal end of the joint part of the balloon 14 with the inner tube 24.
