Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which can effectively expand a narrow part while preventing a balloon from slipping, prevents an element for preventing the slipping of the balloon from interfering with a bent portion of a blood vessel and another device or the like, and prevents the element from falling.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter comprises: an outer shaft 10; a guide wire insertion tube 30 inserted into a lumen of the outer shaft 10 and extending from a tip of the outer shaft 10; a balloon 40 connected to the tip of the outer shaft 10 and extending in an axial direction while coming into contact with an outer periphery of the guide wire insertion tube 30; and a slip prevention element 50 formed integrally with the guide wire insertion tube 30 at a position on the opposite side in a circumferential direction from a position on the outer periphery in contact with the balloon 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
