This band saw is provided with the body vice 37 for clamping the workpiece W and a longitudinally movable material sending vice 43 for sending the workpiece W on the rear side of a cutting position for performing cutting on the workpiece W by the band saw blade 9, and is provided with a saw blade housing having a driving wheel and a driven wheel wound with the band saw blade 9, and is provided with a pair of saw blade guides 27F and 27M for twisting up the band saw blade and guiding the band saw blade 9 for traveling in this saw blade housing, and is characterized in that a front side insert 63 is fixedly arranged on the tip of the saw blade guides, and a rear side insert 67 is longitudinally movably arranged.
