To prevent incorrect accumulation of bills in a bill accommodation section, and the reduced number of accommodated bills by automatically correcting a folded bill, to improve services to users, and to prevent jamming of the bills.
A bill feeding path 30 communicating to a bill insertion inlet 31 includes a driven roller 20 for feeding a bill 11 in the arrow A-B direction, and a pinch roller 33 facing and contacting thereto. A first correction lever 35 is supported in a rotatable manner around a pin 36, and the base end portion thereof is connected to a rod 37a of a solenoid 37, via a drive pin 38. A shutter 40c is connected to the rod 37a of the solenoid 37 via a swingable member 42. When the rod 37a advances, the shutter 40c moves forward to the bill feeding path 30, and a swing end portion 35b of the first correction lever 35 retracts from the bill insertion inlet 31. Meanwhile, when the rod 37a moves backward, the shutter 40c retracts from the bill feeding path 30, the swing end portion 35b advances to the bill insertion inlet 30, so as to approach an end portion 25a of an upper plate 5 with a gap δ.
