Abstract:
To solve the problem that defoaming agent is sometimes added for polishing work because use of a media consisting of a resin-based material may cause foaming by reaction with a resin component during barrel polishing, while its effect cannot last.
A small amount of defoaming agent (0.1 to 5 mass %) is added to mixture of the resin-based material (30 to 80 mass %) and an abrasive material (70 to 20 mass %) for hot forming into a prescribed shape to be used as barrel polishing media.
