Abstract:

To adapt a steel pile to the structure of a basement wall body and the construction thereof which is economically constructed without influences to people living in the neighborhood of the adjacent boundary and structures at the area.

An earth-retaining wall 3 is constructed by use of asymmetrical U-shaped steel piles 2 which are formed to have U-shapes in the cross section and asymmetric in the right and left shapes in the joints 2a, 2b at both ends and also which can be linearly connected by positioning the cross sectional shape in the same direction. After the front face of the earth-retaining wall 3 has been excavated, form members 4 are installed at the position separated from the earth-retaining wall by a distance corresponding to the wall thickness of the basement wall body. The asymmetrical U-shaped steel pile 2 constituting the earth-retaining wall and the form members are joined through connection members 5 and concrete 6 is placed between the earth-retaining wall 3 and the form members 4 to construct the basement wall body 1.
