Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently control a shunt current between a plurality of cells by forming a flexible anode separated in such a manner as to approach a thin flexible cathode at each of the cells in a connecting battery cell array wound into a cylindrical structure. CONSTITUTION: A cell array, in which a support sheet 60 is tightly wound from its one end for connection, is wound in a spiral manner so as to be formed into a cylindrical shape. A center opening 72 is formed at a battery 70, and the circumferential length of the opening 72 is greater than the width of a battery cell 40. Each of the cells 40 includes a flexible anode 10 and a flexible cathode 20, the respective active faces which face to each other and which are disposed in separation from each other in such a manner as to approach in a separating matrix 30. The cells 40 are connected to each other via a tape 44 disposed along the edge of the cell 40. The tape 44 assists in sealing the cell 40 and minimizes a shunt current.
