Abstract:

To increase power density and energy density of a battery.

The battery or an energy device includes a first electrode having a first surface for positioning a base and a counter electrode having a mesh like second surface close to each other and the base, wherein the first surface is mesh like and is demarcated with a plurality of projections and intervening recesses and provides a surface area at least 1.5 times larger than a theoretical surface area of a flat and non-mesh-like surface, the projection has a length (l) and a cross section thickness (a), the cross section thickness (a) changes along the length (l) of the projection, an average of the cross section thickness (a) along the length of the projection is less than 100 microns, and the first and second mesh like surfaces are intruded with each other.
