Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dispersion of discharge capacity and discharge depth of each battery in a battery pack arranged in series-parallel by providing a switch changing over a plurality of cells or modules constituting the battery pack into series or parallel.
SOLUTION: Cells or modules M1, M2,...Mn constituting a battery pack are switched to series or parallel by switching means S1 and S2. For example, when the battery pack charges or discharge, the switching means S1 to S2 connect a plurality of cells and modules M1 to Mn in series, and when the battery pack does not charge or discharge, the switching means S1 to S2 switch a plurality of cells or modules M1 to Mn in to parallel connection. Thus, when charging or discharging is not performed, dispersion of the cells or modules M1 to Mn can be eliminated in parallel, and even if dispersion occurs during charging, it is eliminated by arranging it in parallel after charging is ended.
