Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a built-in secondary battery with a thinned appearance.SOLUTION: The secondary battery comprises: an insulative plate-like body case 10; an upper metallic plate 21 covering an upper face of the body case 10; and a lower plate 22 covering a lower face. A secondary battery cell 1 is faced to a third side face in the body case 10, and is isolated from a first side face. A circuit board 30 is arranged between the secondary battery and the first side face in the body case 10, and the upper plate 21 is integrally provided with a side face covering portion continued from a first plane portion 21a covering the upper face of the body case 10, and covering a second side face, a third side face and a fourth side face. The side face covering portion includes an edge covering portion 21e covering four rectangular corners of the body case 10. On the first side face of the body case 10, right and left parts are covered with the edge covering portion 21e, and the side face covering portion is opened between itself and the edge covering portion 21e. A connector portion 14 is positioned at an opening portion.
