To provide a battery power source device which outputs to the automobile mounting the battery power source device by detecting the operation condition of a battery pack integrating many batteries and comprises a function of cutting off the connection circuit at occurrence of abnormality.
The battery power source device 1 is constructed of a battery pack 8 in which a plurality of battery modules connecting a plurality of secondary batteries in series are housed and connected in series and a battery ECU 2 which controls the air blower 5 that carries out forced air-cooling of the battery pack 8 based on the detected data such as voltage and temperature, and outputs the operation condition of the battery pack 8 to the automobile, and a charge and discharge circuit unit 3 which comprises a relay and a circuit sensor or the like for cutting off the connection circuit with the automobile at the occurrence of abnormality.
