Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a beam path switching device to be used over a long period without worrying about the exhaution of a refraction factor matching agent by providing a supplying part to supply the refraction factor matching agent in the vicinity of the joined edge surfaces of both connectors to switch a beam path and supplying the refraction factor matching agent on the joined edge surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A mobile connector 31 is placed in matching the joined edge surface with a fixed connector 30 on a base 20, and plural optical fibers 31a are positioned and fixed at a prescribed pitch in the same way as the fixed connector 30. By operating a bistable solenoid 60 of the beam path switching device and pressingly moving a driving arm 50 through a driving shaft 61 in an arrow-indicated A direction, the mobile connector 31 is slidingly moved, and the beam path of the optical fiber with the fixed connector 30 is switched. When the refraction factor matching agent between joined edge surfaces 30c and 31c of both connectors 30 and 31 are exhausted by repeating the switching operation, since the refraction factor matching agent is supplied by a capillarity from a sponge 41 of a supplying part 40, the use can be executed over the long period without worrying about the exhaustion of the refraction factor matching agent.
