Abstract:
A bearing cleaning device for an electric motor is provided with an injection nozzle 24 which can inject cleaning liquid toward a bearing 66 and a pressure reducing mechanism which reduces pressure on the side of the bearing 66 to generate an air current directed from the inside of an electric motor 60 via a clearance in a seal portion 62 toward the bearing 66. In the pressure reducing mechanism, by allowing a packing 50 on a peripheral edge of an opening in a hood 20 to closely contact to the electric motor 60, an enclosed chamber C is formed, and the air in the chamber C is drawn by a suction pump 15. The injection nozzle 24 is disposed in the chamber C for injecting the cleaning liquid toward the bearing 66 which is exposed via the opening in the hood 20 toward the chamber C. Since the suction pump 15 draws the air in a drain tank 13, an air current flowing to the drain tank 13 is generated in a drain pipe 11 to urge waste liquid to be collected.
