Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of preventing increase of frictional resistance by suppressing increase of bearing pressure of a seal lip, and keeping sealability by preventing abnormal wear of the seal lip.SOLUTION: In a bearing device 1 for a wheel: an inner-side seal member 7 is composed of a seal ring 8 fitted to an inner periphery of an outer member 2, and a slinger 9 fitted to an outer periphery of an inner member 3; a narrow clearance C is formed between the seal ring 8 and the slinger 9 in a state of disposing the seal ring 8 and the slinger 9 in opposition to each other; the seal ring 8 has a core grid 81, at least one seal lip (radial lip 82a) vulcanized and adhered to the core grid 81, and an elastic member (seal rubber 82) provided with another lip (labyrinth lip 82d); the seal lip (82a) is kept into contact with the slinger 9; and the other lip (82d) covers an opening portion co at a bearing inner side of the narrow clearance C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
