In the bearing unit with the rotation sensor constructed by the combination of the sensor unit 3 and the inner ring rotation type bearing 2 attached to the shaft 1, the core metal 14 of the encoder 13 of a sensor unit 3 is fixed on an outer diameter surface of the shaft 1 by press in fitting, a sensor 21 of the sensor unit 3 is attached to an outer ring 8 of the bearing 2 with facing the encoder 13, and a pin 15 projectingly provided on an inner diameter surface of the core metal 14 is fitted in a groove 6 of the shaft 1 and is used for a detent means.
