Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a belt for carrying paper sheets or the like the simplification, miniaturization, low cost, and low load of a paper sheets carrying device, by providing plural paper sheets nipping means, composed of elastic material, on the belt surface carrying paper sheets to nip the paper sheets by the elastic deformation of the nipping means.
CONSTITUTION: In this conveyer belt, looped paper sheet nipping parts 1, in which elastic material is used in a timing belt, are provided. This belt is wound on at least two timing pullies 3, and is driven from a drive source. Paper sheets 13 are carried in the belt at a carrying speed V1 from carrying means 11 in the first place. On the one hand, the belt is driven at a speed V2 slower than the carrying speed of the paper sheets 13, and when viewed from the belt, the paper sheets 13 are entered in the paper sheets nipping parts 1 at a speed of a relative speed V1-V2. At that time, mutual pushing force is generated, due to elastic deformation, between the adjoining paper sheets nipping parts, having a loop form. This force is set to one sufficient to carry the paper sheets 13.
