Abstract:

PURPOSE: To assure a very hard restriction of gyro, i.e., the minimum linear measurement movement.
CONSTITUTION: A biaxial rate gyro has two hinge parts 10, 11 arranged forward and rearward, one of which (the first hinge part) is connected to a drive shaft of the rate gyro while the other (the second hinge part) is connected to a gyro rotor. Both the parts are connected to each other through two narrow webs 12 arranged perpendicularly to an axis of the hinge and are deformed to each other by spring elements 21, 22 acting on a preliminarily loaded force measuring element 17. The elements 21, 22 elastically deform when a rotary moment varying in a sine wave acts, and thus the element 17 is alternately loaded or unloaded to generate a measurement signal in proportion to the acting force.
