Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficiently supplying power to electric equipment, and to facilitate wiring to the electric equipment, in a bicycle hub dynamo.
SOLUTION: The hub dynamo 1 comprises a hub shaft 5, a hub element 6, a pair of bearings 7, 8, a generating mechanism 9, and a free wheel 10. The hub shaft is attached to an automotive frame. The hub element is extended in an axial direction of the hub shaft, formed with a pair of hub flanges 12a, 12b at an interval in the axial direction on an outer peripheral surface, and disposed on an outer periphery of the hub shaft. The pair of the bearings rotatably supports the hub element to the hub shaft. The generating mechanism is disposed between the hub element and the hub shaft, and generates electricity by relative rotations of the hub element and the hub shaft. The free wheel is provided on a first side surface in a right side when viewed from a rear side of the hub element, attached with multi-stage gear 53 on an outer periphery thereof so as not to rotate, and transmits only rotations in a traveling direction of a bicycle to the hub element.
