Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing apparatus capable of suppressing an increase in cost.SOLUTION: A bill processing apparatus has: a taking-in part 12 where a bill block as a stack of bills is set together with a partition sheet arranged on at least one of both stack-directional outer sides of the bill block; a discrimination part 22 which discriminates bills and a partition sheet taken in by the taking-in part 12; a stacking part 14 which stacks bills discriminated by the discrimination part 22 as genuine bills; a rejection part 13 which rejects the partition sheet and rejection bills discriminated by the discrimination part 22 as non-genuine bills; and a control part 32 which acquires discrimination result information of each of bill blocks deduced with partition sheets upon the basis of discrimination results of the discrimination part 22. A different-country bill of an issuing country different from an issuing country of bills to be processed is used as a partition sheet, the discrimination part 22 can read a serial number given to the different-country bill, and the control part 32 recognizes a bill block upon the basis of the serial number of the different-country bill read by the discrimination part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
