Abstract:
To provide a bisphenol production method which solves mixture failure of a reaction of producing bisphenol, is less in coloring, and has good efficiency.SOLUTION: A bisphenol production method includes: a first step of condensing ketone or aldehyde and aromatic alcohol in a reaction liquid containing the ketone or the aldehyde, the aromatic alcohol, a first organic solvent and an acid catalyst to produce bisphenol, and obtaining a slurry with dispersed bisphenol; and a second step of supplying a second organic solvent to the slurry, and condensing the ketone or the aldehyde and the aromatic alcohol at a temperature higher than that in the first step.SELECTED DRAWING: None
