Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compsn. containing a specific amt. of modified starch and a styrene/sulfonic acid (co)polymer (salt) and imparting a molded product with excellent dimensional stability by heat and pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The objective compsn. consists of modified starch (A) and a styrene/sulfonic acid (co)polymer (salt) (B) and contains them in amts. showing effect capable of improving physical characteristics of an obtained product. The component B pref. has a mol.wt. of 2000-1500000 and a sulfonated styrene/ unsaturated monomer block copolymer (salt) is pref.
