Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a block copolymer compsn. excellent in heat stability by mixing a block copolymer of an (S-B-I) type with a linear block copolymer which is formed by linking molecules of a block copolymer of an (S-B-I) type with a difunctional coupling agent.
CONSTITUTION: This block copolymer compsn. is prepd. by mixing a block copolymer (A) obtd. from 10-50wt.% arom. vinyl compd., 10-60wt.% butadiene. and 10-60wt.% isoprene and represented by the formula, (S-B-I)2-X or (S-I-B) 2-X (wherein S is a polymer block derived from the arom. vinyl compd.; B is a polybutadiene block; I is a polyisoprene block; and X is a residue of a difunctional coupling agent) with a block copolymer (B) represented by the formula, (S-B-I) or (S-I-B) in a wt. ratio of copolymer A to copolymer B of (20+80)-(90:10). An adhesive compsn. excellent in heat stability is prepd. by mixing 100 pts. wt. copolymer compsn. with 50-300 pts.wt. tackifier.
