Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood component collection device which is a blood component collection device using a centrifugal separator and is capable of decreasing the amount of the red blood cells remaining in the centrifugal separator after the end of blood return.
SOLUTION: The blood component collection device 1 is used for a blood component collection circuit 2 having a rotor 142, the centrifugal separator 20 for making centrifugal separation by rotation of the rotor 142 and a blood plasma collection bag 25. The device 1 has control functions to execute a blood component collection step of collecting the blood component (blood plasma) specified in portion by the centrifugal separator 20 into the collection bag 22, a returning steep of returning the remaining blood component in the centrifugal separator 20, a returning and injecting step of returning the remaining blood component in the centrifugal separator 20 and injecting the specific blood component into the centrifugal separator 20, a mixing step of mixing the injected specific blood component and the remaining blood component in the centrifugal separator 20 and a liquid mixture returning step of returning the liquid mixture subjected to mixing to a blood donator.
