Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting device for light beam that has a simple constitution, can detect the positional deviation between a prescribed circular opening provided in a prescribed object and a light beam with high accuracy at the time of performing adjustment so that the center of the light beam may pass through the center of the opening, and can cope with reductions in size and weight.
SOLUTION: The position detecting device 20 for light beam is composed of an object 4 having an opening 3, through which a light beam 2 outputted from a suitable light source 1 is passed and a position detecting means 5 for output beam, which detects the position of the center of the light beam 2 relatively to the center P of the opening 3. The detecting means 5 is constituted so that the means 5 may discriminate the degree of positional deviation between the center O of the light beam 2 and the center P of the opening 3 of the object 4 by utilizing the refracted light 6 of the light beam passed through the opening 3 of the object 4.
