To provide a body composition measuring apparatus capable of automatically measuring a body composition just by a user performing a habitual behavior naturally, and measuring the body composition for the trunk of the body as well.

The body composition measuring apparatus includes injection electrodes 1a and 2a for injecting a current to a human body and detection electrodes 1b and 2b for detecting a potential difference of a required part of the human body while the current is injected from the injection electrodes 1a and 2a. The impedance of the human body is measured using the injection electrodes 1a and 2a and the detection electrodes 1b and 2b, and the body composition is calculated from the impedance. The injection electrodes 1a and 2a and the detection electrodes 1b and 2b include a first electrode group 1 disposed on a floor surface F on one side of the opening of a building and a second electrode group 2 provided on a handle 4 of a door 3 which opens and closes the opening.
