Abstract:
PURPOSE: To avoid an upper surface drying nozzle from coming into contact with a protruded object even when it is provided in a car body upper surface, in a car body drying device of liftably supporting the upper surface drying nozzle to a frame to make a relative motion of this frame to a vehicle so that the upper surface drying nozzle follows a car body upper surface shape.
CONSTITUTION: A car body drying device comprises a lift means Dt of lifting an upper surface drying nozzle 2, car body upper surface detecting means of contactlessly detecting a car body upper surface in a relative motion directional front side of a frame 1 relating to a vehicle from a lower end of the upper surface drying nozzle 2 and a control means 50 of delaying lifting the upper surface drying nozzle 2 to control the lift means Dt based on an output of the car body upper surface detecting means so as to prevent the upper surface drying nozzle 2 from coming into contact with the car body upper surface.
