PURPOSE: To simplify the inspection of a body liquor, by a method wherein a reagent layer is provided on a substrate and a hydrophilic material film without leakage of a reagent is laminated on the layer to suppress leakage of the reagent forming the reagent layer into a body.

CONSTITUTION: A reagent layer 2 which is allowed to generate a detectable response of a substance desired to be inspected in a liquid to be inspected is provided on a substrate 1 and a hydrophilic material film comprising a water soluble high polymer film 4 and a hydrophilic film 3 is laminated on the reagent layer 2. Hydrophilic material films 3 and 4 allows the liquid being inspected to permeate while suppressing diffusion of a reagent forming the reagent layer 2 outside the object being inspected. Thus, it possible to lick the reagent layer 2 directly or place it into a mouth thereby simplifying inspection of a body liquor, especially saliva.
