Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a lower structure of a vehicle body, which has increased rigidity.SOLUTION: Front brackets 14A, 14B each for supporting a lower arm are mounted on a pair of side rails 20A, 20B respectively. A second cross member 24 spans between the side rails 20A, 20B, at positions where the front brackets 14A, 14B are mounted. A rack housing 40 of an electric power steering device (EPS) 18 is fixed to the second cross member 24, the rack housing spanning along the second cross member 24, between mounting portions 38A, 38B. This structure reinforces the second cross member with the EPS 18, thus improving rigidity of the second cross member, and increasing rigidity of a suspension member 12. Consequently, when the load is inputted from the lower arm to the side rail 20A through the front bracket 14A, the second cross member 24 of which rigidity is reinforced with the EPS 18 withstands the load, thus inhibiting deformation of the suspension member 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
