This bone marrow suction device has a handle and a piercing element. The elongated piercing element has a rear end portion which is connected to the handle and has a rear end part with an inlet port, a front end portion having a piercing end part, a substantially tubular side wall defining an inner cavity extending from the inlet port to a position adjacent to the piercing end part, and an opening formed on the side wall in the vicinity of the piercing end part for interconnecting with the inner cavity. The rear end portion of the elongated piercing element is offset from the longitudinal axis of the front end portion. With such a configuration, when the front end is arranged by gripping the handle, the inlet port of the rear end portion becomes concurrently accessible.
