Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book order support device and a book order support program which can determine a book which is expected to sell as an order candidate book.SOLUTION: Sales expectation period determining means 22 determines a sales expectation period from a sales start date to a day when the sales number decreases to a prescribed rate of the day of the largest sales number for each genre, and stores it to storage means 23. Then, sales number calculation means 24 calculates the sales number of books up to the present which start to be sold during a period going back to the sales expectation period from the present. Next, rank data calculation means 25 calculates rank data ranking the sales number calculated by the sales number calculation means 24 in a descending order for each genre. Order candidate selection means 26 then selects the number of books corresponding to a prescribed rate of a book shelf allocated to the genre of a bookstore on the basis of the rank data calculated by the rank data calculation means 25 as order candidates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
