Abstract:
To provide a boot for a constant velocity universal joint having a function for preventing fall of balls at low costs without increasing the number of components in a time from assembling an assembly of a constant velocity universal joint to attachment of the assembly to a vehicle, and to provide the constant velocity universal joint and a manufacturing method of the boot for the constant velocity universal joint.SOLUTION: A boot for a constant velocity universal joint includes an elastomer boot body having a large diameter attachment part attached to an outer peripheral surface of an outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, a small diameter attachment part attached to an outer periphery of a power transmission shaft connected to an inner joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, and a bellows part provided between the large diameter attachment part and the small diameter attachment part and comprising multiple crest parts and multiple trough parts formed alternately in an axial direction. An annular part which is thick in a circumferential direction is provided in contact with a large diameter end trough part closest to the large diameter attachment part. The annular part serves as a trough part support structure which supports the large diameter end trough part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
